Sick of It!

So what had happened was...

Two weeks ago we had Parents' Day at school, so I had to work until 6PM. Justin started texting me about 5:30 saying he thought Luke had a fever. And my kids don't run fevers.

So I hurry out of there, go to Fred's to buy a thermometer (since ours was MIA) and some Tylenol. I get home to realize the thermometer box is empty, but Luke is on fire. I went back to Fred's, back home, and Luke's temperature was approximately 101.

MawMaw Wanda (who is grossly underpaid in her new position as full-time MawMaw) kept him first thing Wednesday morning, so I could go to work and get things ready for a sub. I left at 11:30 to take him to the doctor, where it became official that he had strep (something I've never dealt with before).

Anyhow, fast-forward to Friday when I spent another $30 copay to find out E had a croupy cough. Then Monday I felt horrible. I decided to go to the doctor Monday afternoon, where it became official that I had strep. (Why do kids always share the things you'd rather them keep to themselves?) Monday night I developed a terrible rash all over my hands and I could barely bend my fingers. Back to the doctor I went on Tuesday to find out that it was a strep-related rash (which has now caused my hands to peel).

We made it through all that, and we're chugging along when BAM. I decided (on a whim, I might add) to take Luke back to the doctor to have him take a listen to his cough. He has absolutely no other symptoms other than "the cough" (which we've all come to know well at my house), and my baby has pneumonia!

So yes, I'm sick of it. Sick of being sick!

I want summer back.
